Project Info
Private Residence 2 is a bespoke residential project designed by Arkitek Adib Maruziki (AAM), located within a suburban or peri-urban setting in Malaysia. The design adopts a contemporary residential architectural language that prioritises functionality, spatial clarity, and contextual response. The planning strategy organises spaces to support key living requirements, integrating private living areas, service zones, and transitional indoor-outdoor spaces in a coherent spatial sequence that enhances occupant comfort and everyday usability.
The architectural approach emphasises rational massing and thoughtful orientation to maximise natural daylighting and ventilation, while articulating a clear hierarchy between public, semi-private, and private domains within the home. Circulation is structured to be intuitive and efficient, connecting social areas such as living and dining with more secluded private zones such as bedrooms and family spaces. Material expression and external articulation are resolved to create a distinctive residential identity that responds to both functional demands and site conditions, aligning with AAM’s design ethos of creating architecture that is relevant and enduring.
