This community surau reinterprets traditional Islamic architecture through a modern vernacular lens. Featuring a bold composition of red brick, concrete, and geometric breeze block screens, the design promotes natural ventilation and filtered daylight into the prayer spaces. A minimalist yet prominent minaret anchors the surau’s identity, serving both spiritual and visual functions.
The integration of shaded walkways, open-air coridors, and layered façades reflects a climate-responsive approach, while the overall form establishes the surau as a welcoming and accessible centre for worship, learning, and community gathering.
