Sri Rampai Apartment is a conceptual high-rise residential development designed in 2015 for a private client. Situated within the established urban context of Sri Rampai, the proposal explores a contemporary model of vertical living through a composition of slender residential towers arranged above a unified podium.
The development is characterised by a strong vertical architectural expression. Tall, terracotta-toned planes define the principal masses, while white projecting frames organise the residential façades into a rhythmic grid of windows, balconies and glazed openings. The contrast between these solid and transparent surfaces breaks down the scale of the towers and gives each elevation a clear visual order.
Rather than treating the blocks as isolated objects, the towers are composed as a coordinated ensemble. Variations in height, orientation and façade articulation create depth across the development, allowing the individual volumes to remain visually distinct while contributing to a coherent overall identity. Recessed sections and narrow vertical openings further emphasise the slenderness of the towers and reinforce their upward movement.
At the base, the residential blocks are anchored by a substantial podium wrapped in closely spaced vertical fins. This screened volume establishes a more human-scaled edge at ground level while visually concealing the larger supporting programme. Its warm material expression extends the colour of the towers downward, creating continuity between the podium and the high-rise elements above.
Landscape is used as a softening layer around the development, forming a green buffer between the built mass and its surroundings. Mature planting and tree-lined edges reduce the visual weight of the podium while framing views towards the towers. Through its disciplined façade rhythm, coordinated massing and integrated podium treatment, Sri Rampai Apartment presents a distinctive residential development that balances urban density with architectural clarity and a strong landscape presence.
